Great timing, right? Phoenix just performed the two songs I shared in the last post on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live with host Seth Rogan. Reaction? I like them even more now. I love how unassuming and casual the lead singer is. And watch the drummer kill it back there. His kit sounds exactly like the drums on the record (I wonder if they’re doing some gate-triggered samples or something). He’s either a machine or an animal, but more likely an animal-machine. The band as a whole just looks like it’s having a lot of fun, especially in “1901″. Definitely one of the best SNL performances in recent memory. Check them out…
